Crochet Calculator

Free crochet calculators for every step of a project: gauge, blanket sizes, how much yarn you need, increasing evenly and pricing your work. Fast on your phone, nothing to install.

Plan a project in four steps

  1. Crochet a swatch and measure it with the gauge calculator.
  2. Choose a finished size. For blankets, the blanket size chart turns it into stitches and rows.
  3. Weigh the swatch and find out how much yarn you need before you shop.
  4. Making it to sell? Work out a fair price with the crochet pricing calculator.

FAQ

Which crochet calculator do I need?

Starting a new project: check your gauge, then pick a size and work out your yarn. Following a pattern that says "increase evenly": use the increase & decrease calculator. Selling your work: use the pricing calculator.

Are these calculators free?

Yes. The calculations run in your browser, there’s nothing to sign up for, and we don’t store the numbers you enter.

Can I share a result?

Yes. Every calculator keeps your inputs in the page address. Use "Copy link to this result" and whoever opens it sees the same numbers.

Where do the formulas come from?

Each page lists its sources, such as the Craft Yarn Council’s yarn standards and published worked examples. We test every formula against those examples.

What is the difference between US and UK crochet terms?

The same stitch has a different name: a US single crochet (sc) is a UK double crochet (dc), and a US double crochet is a UK treble. The increase & decrease calculator can write instructions in either.
