What this site is
Free, fast crochet calculators that work on your phone: yarn, pricing, increase & decrease, gauge and blanket sizes.
Where the formulas come from
- Yarn weights, hook sizes, abbreviations and US/UK terms follow the Craft Yarn Council standards.
- Each calculator page shows its formula, a worked example and links to its sources.
- Every formula is tested against the worked examples from those sources before it goes live.
- Blanket sizes differ between designers, so we only list sizes that at least two published charts agree on.
Results are estimates. Your tension, hook and stitch pattern change the numbers, so always check against your own swatch and your pattern.
